Happy New Year from Yardley Farmers’ Market

The Holidays may be over but we are still here the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month through April 15!  The days are getting longer, the Farmers are planning for spring, and we’ll be back in Buttonwood Park on May 6th for our third Summer Market!

Shop Local, Buy Fresh!  With about a dozen Vendors, you will find a great selection of farm fresh eggs, pasture-raised meats including Turkey, Pork, Lamb and Beef, local fall vegetables and apples, hydroponic tomatoes and lettuces, local Honey and honey products, gourmet jellies, dips and condiments, pies, cookies, breads, homemade soaps, body products and candles,  prepared ready to eat foods,  pickled and fermented (Kimchi) vegetables, and last but not least, Wine, Coffee and Tea!

Sharing a recipe of a dukkah that I got @ this week’s market. Made with almonds and other zesty things, it has a very good texture and taste.

Roasted Cauliflower with Dukkah

Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower (or broccoli)

2 tablespoons olive oil

kosher salt or sea salt to taste

2 tablespoons Dukkah

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Trim cauliflower florets. Toss with olive oil.
  2. Roast for 15-20 mins until top edges are golden brown. Season with a bit of sea salt. Just before serving, sprinkle some Dukkah.

So a little dukkah goes a long way !!
